The challenge
The Gala-Salvador Dalí Foundation is a private, independent cultural institution. Dalí himself founded it and directed it personally from 1983 until his death in 1989, with a mission to promote, protect, and safeguard his legacy. That mission plays out across three sites: the Teatre-Museu Dalí in Figueres, the Casa-Taller in Port Lligat where Dalí spent much of his life, and the Castell de Púbol, which he built for Gala.
Security threats don't scale down for a smaller organization. The foundation faced the same constant risks as any institution, but without the largeinternal resources to build deep, ongoing expertise around them. Keeping pace with training needs and an evolving threat landscape from a purely internal IT setup wasn't realistic.
What the team needed wasn't more headcount. It was a platform that could close that gap: to bring the security layer, the monitoring, and the proactive posture that current resources alone couldn't sustain.
The solution
After weighing several options, the foundation chose FlexxClient. The shift wasn't about adding more tools. It was about closing the gap between reacting to problems and getting ahead of them, with continuous monitoring and a security layer built around proactivity rather than after-the-fact fixes.
With that foundation in place, the team could stop treating IT security as a recurring emergency and start treating it as a managed, ongoing capability, one less thing standing between them and the work of preserving Dalí's legacy.
The results
With FlexxClient in place, the foundation's IT operations moved from reactive troubleshooting to proactive oversight across all three sites, without adding internal headcount.
That shift gave the team the confidence that comes from knowing devices are monitored and threats are caught before they become incidents, freeing attention for the work that actually matters to the foundation's mission.
An institution built to protect one of the 20th century's most singular legacies now has the technological confidence to keep doing exactly that, for the museums, the archives, and the visitors who come to encounter Dalí's world firsthand.
